Since June 19th the Bullets have been playing solid, but not exceptional, baseball. If we hadn't made an error here or there, we could have won several ball games. After the first inning thursday night we played very well but not quite well enough to win.

We had one run on three hits and made 3 errors, only one of them caused us any trouble. Wiota had eight runs on ten hits and no errors. Three of their fellows were 2 x 4. Von Haden had a home run that rattled around the broadcast booth in center field. Tyler had a double down the left field line for the Bullets.

Adam Hughes can run down flyballs with any one in any league. He backed up on another ball in the darkest part of center field then turned around and made the catch with his back to the infield similar to WillIe Mays running one down in deep center field in the Polo grounds.

Our next three games are at home; this Sunday against Hollandale, next Saturday against Argyle and the last game of the year on July 31st against Wiota. Starting time for the Argyle game is at 3 pm. After the game the Bullets are inviting everyone to Marcines for a few cold drinks and a bite to eat in their yearly effort to raise money to pay expenses. Hope to see you at Marcines.
